Now, imagine your very own work team participating in an exciting team building adventure, sailing the Continental Sloop Providence, an historic replica of the tall ship once sailed by John Paul Jones, through the Narragansett Bay.

Sailing a tall ship is ideal way to develop personal leadership and team building skills. It also provides a unique opportunity to enhance your sense of team cohesion and reflect on the real challenges your business faces in the months ahead.

The Providence Maritime Heritage Foundation has created a very unique team learning experience aboard the Continental Sloop Providence that will challenge your team members to work in harmony with others in confined conditions, to utilize one another's diverse strengths, and respond to the unusual, unpredictable, and sometimes challenging conditions of the marine environment. Your team will learn to set realistic expectations, communicate effectively, make quick decisions, delegate responsibility, coach one another for improved performance, and manage conflict productively. We will work with you to design a one-day adventure program that achieves your team goals and addresses your key business objectives.

Our 1-3 day programs combine highly interactive, shore-based team building workshops with a sailing adventure that allows your team members to "learn the ropes" and actually sail the tall ship under the close watch of our experienced captain.

Sailing adventures are led by WorkPlace Dynamics! The mission of WorkPlace Dynamics is to change work as we know it by creating workplaces where employees are engaged in the business of the organization, continue to learn and grow, contribute to the success of the business and feel more connected to their work. WorkPlace Dynamics has designed a unique communication and teambuilding workshop that takes place aboard the Continental Sloop Providence. By the end of the workshop, your team will have experienced challenges and collaborated to achieve results. They will leave with the tools to communicate effectively both within the team and with others outside the team.

Sailing is for everyone. The Narragansett Bay and surrounding coastline provides the option of sheltered waters, relatively short hops, quiet anchorage's, and good food and accommodation at a variety of first class hotels. Previous sailing experience is not required and one does not have to be overly athletic to fully participate. We also design programs to complement or set the theme for your on-shore business meetings, conferences, and seminars.
